A Requiem for Lost Love

Tonight, distract me from this life of mine.

For in ignorance, I’ll try to find my bliss;

I can fill this void with beer and wine,

Sealed with an impassioned lusty kiss.

Torn apart, my heart’s in ribbons now,

After, chewed and spit upon the floor.

If I could learn to love, I don’t know how,

The ones that love me strongly, I abhor.

I’ll hold a requiem for all past’s love,

In hopes a broken heart may set me free;

For sweet affections, or the lack thereof,

Create now, no vivid impressions over me.
